Classic Pocket Knife
The Classic Pocket Knife. This blog is about my adoration for
this simplistic and practical tool that has endured the test of time.
I have a fondness for the tradition behind carrying a classic folding pocket knife that has been a part of me since I was a child. I cant remember any man in my family who did not carry a pocket knife with them at all times. My father, grandfather and uncles understood and appreciated the usefulness you can get from a pocket knife. And luckily instilled that understanding in me.
To me the Classic Pocket Knife represents the best of the principles that our forefathers built this country on. Freedom, Self Sufficiency and simple functionality to name a few. The same values I strive to instill in my children everyday.
My pocket knife is as much a part of my daily life as my watch and my wallet. I just cant think what it would be like to not have it with me. I actually use my knife several times a day. I work outside so I probably use it more than the average guy would but that is no excuse for not having one with you.
I just read another article about a man who saved a woman from strangling with his pocket knife. The womans scarf had become stuck in a piece of machinery and she had passed out. The man saw her and pulled out his knife to cut the scarf from her neck and free her. He then performed CPR and saved her life. Without his trusty Classic Folding Pocket Knifethis would not have been possible.
For me the Classic Pocket Knife has a certain type of elegance that I find endearing. As well they represent the traditional masculinity that I feel needs to be more a part of our society today. I am looking forward to sharing with my son my love for the Classic Pocket Knife and teaching him the tradition that it stands for.
Till Next Time. Stay Sharp!
